The Ryan Gibson Foundation is proud to be a sponsor and partner with The Ray Johnston Band (www.rayjohnstonband.com). The lead singer and three time leukemia survivor Ray Johnston is an inspiration to the Foundation and is living proof that through research, we can beat this disease. Ray, a former University of Alabama Basketball player was never supposed to be sick, but Leukemia does not allow you to choose. Rather than let leukemia consume him, he consumed it. Continuing the fight for his own life, while trying to advance the research that the Foundation supports, was what Ray was meant to do. If you see the passion he has on stage though,  you would never know he had ever been sick. Take some Dave Matthews and a little Pat Green and you got The Ray Johnston Band. Ray does not do it alone though, he is surrounded by a very talented group.
